Yesterday I hiked the Tolmie Peak Trail to Lake Eunice in search of "fall color." While disappointed with the colors I later learned on the way out that it has not been cold enough but that the fall colors should start to show in a week or so.
While the views of Mt. Rainier are not the best from this hike I took photos of the mountain anyway. I struggled to not blow out the peak of the mountain. I would have tried a graduated neutral density filter for the first time but forgot it. I took the photos that I did not blow out and decreased the shadow areas in Photoshop Elements.
Dick, I can get lost staring into that top photo of the reflection. I think that photo has real staying power (like you could hang it over the couch and never get tired of looking at it). I think your composition and exposure are absolutely perfect.
