These deer were in my pasture today. It was very tricky sneaking up on them to get these close ups. I used a canon T2i with a 55-250 lens and slowly moved closer. The key is do not move to fast! I became one with the mud.
I'm amazed you were able to sneak up on them. That's hard! You can see the whole story too. That middle photo where the deer perks up and recognizes you, and then they start moving away. It's a nice set.
Thanks Mellisa I took 160 shots and it took close to an hour I had to move very slowly. I have never been very patient but that has all changed when it comes to photography
