Last Days of Summer - Sand In the City

I've been pretty busy the last few weekends and haven't had time to do the Long Shot, but I had some free time yesterday after our meetup group went to the skate park for a shoot (http://www.flickr.com/photos/geeman39/sets/72157624708087881/show) and spent some time at Sand in the City. I recently picked up a used 135MM f2.8 lens for $69 and wanted to try it out doing some candid "street shooting". It's manual focus only, so not all of my shots turned out, but I think I got some good ones.

  1. Greg, I feel like I was there. Your "new" camera produced some great photos with sharp detail and natural color. Did you use Kodachrome and then transfer to digital?

  2. Hi Zane!

It wasn't a new camera, just a new lens. It's a lens from the Olympus OM series of 35MM cameras used on my digital SLR with an adapter.

  3. LOVE how you were able to convey the event in a collage of images. From your shots, I get the sense that the Sand in the CIty had a different meaning to each person. The collection of images is like a storyboard for a video.
